How to Create a Device Channel in SharePoint 2013
One of the new features available in SharePoint 2013 . I wanted to give a quick overview of how to create a device channel. I will be posting more about the benefits and cons to using device channels in another blog.
You will want to start by pulling up the “Design Manager”.
You will see two options:
Choose “Create a channel”
A pop-up screen will appear. You will need to fill in the required information that is marked with a star (*). Remember to fill in the device inclusion rules!
After you complete the form and press “Submit” it will bring you back to the Design Manager where you will now see your newly-created device channel.
In order for this device channel to work, you will need to associate it with a master page. You will not be able to edit the default device channel.
